Initially, there was hesitance to adopt the yellow silicone product, as the traditional linatex was red. The product made its debut at the Hannover Messe in 2000, where visitors reacted with laughter and pointed at our innovation.
For those interested in the history of VFFS belts, the first tests of this product were conducted in India by a small company called Prolific in Kolkata. They showcased the belt to B…India, which expressed interest and began purchasing them. Following its success in India, the belt made its way to Europe and began its success story, particularly excelling in wet and cool environments.
Today, Bervina’s silicone product stands as a quality leader in the market, with major players now following our lead. Our construction ensures that the entire product is FDA compliant, including the basic belt, with no glue used. This is a significant achievement in a world where environmental protection is increasingly important.
