How can we, as European manufacturers, respond to protectionist challenges together?

For Bervina, the United States is our second largest market. Since 2012, we’ve been proud members of NIBA – The Belting Association, and over the years we’ve built strong and valuable partnerships across the American industrial sector.

Our products have been showcased with great interest at the annual NIBA Conventions. We don’t mass-produce – our belts are niche products, custom-made per order. They cannot be stocked, but they’re lightweight and cost-effective to ship from Europe.

Bervina is a globally recognized brand that supplies some of the largest American distributors and manufacturers.

However, the tariff regulations introduced by the Trump administration and the broader protectionist approach make these trusted business relationships more difficult to maintain. Rising costs, uncertainty, and delayed decision-making hurt not only suppliers like us but also our clients. This is not just a business issue – it’s also about shared values. We believe in reliability, open cooperation, and the cultural foundation we share with many of our American partners.

👉 We’re ready to adapt and fight through the challenges, but we believe trade barriers shouldn’t be met with silence – they should be met with collaboration and dialogue. If you’re navigating these same concerns – let’s connect.
